Various presenters will be presenting daily workshops on topics that effect the industry on a daily basis.  These workshops are available to all attendees at the IISF Super Trade Show & Extravaganza.  The workshops will include audio/video presentations, handouts as well as round table discussions of some of the challenges affecting every aspect of the carnival business.

Become Certified in the ServSafe Program

This is a required exam for ALL food service vendors in ALL states including some local / city requirements.

Cost: $150 per person (includes class materials, study guides, & test)
Class size is limited to 25 people

NAARSO Level 1 Basic Inspector Certification Study and Exam

In order to be eligible for the exam and certification, you will be required to have a letter from your employer validating 2 years experience OR proof of 16 hours of training and 1 year experience validation.

2 hour Study and Review begins at 11am.
- short break will follow -
2 hour EXAM will follow.

PLEASE ALLOW 4 ½ hours minimum to complete!

Cost:
• NAARSO Member - $100 per person
• Non-NAARSO Member - $175 per person (you will become a member at registration)

DEALING WITH STATE AND LOCAL HEALTH DEPARTMENTS DURING A PANDEMIC
"We Do it the Sanitary Way"

Discussion Outline:

  1. Have a written plan showing how you will keep people safe with sanitizing during Covid-19.
    1. Products you will use and how to use them
      1. Hand Sanitizer, Liquid Spray
    2. Safe Distancing
    3. Masks
    4. Handwash Stations

  2. Get to know your state and local health department officials
    1. Learn to listen
    2. Illustration: Masks
    3. Communication is the Key

  3. Be Pro-Active- Now More Than EVER!
    1. Call EVERYPLACE that you set up and let them know that you have a plan.
    2. You may need to lead them through the process.
    3. You need to learn to "Think Outside The Box."
      1. Reinvent Yourself
      2. Every county fair/event must be willing to do this

      1. It may be a "maybe" or a "possible."

  3. We have a chance to help lead America reopen.
    1. We can show them HOW it Can be done.
      1. Be a man or woman with a plan.
      2. It has ALWAYS only taken ONE man or woman to make a difference.
      3. Those who opened in 2020 were people who worked until they found a way to get it done.

H-2B BALANCING ACT
PRACTICAL, POLITICAL STRATEGIES FOR SURVIVAL IN THIS NEW ABNORMAL

JKJ Workforce Agency and the Small Business Workforce Alliance will be conducting an educational seminar regarding the H-2B program.

Topics will include:

Political:  What can we expect from a Biden Administration Department of Labor, Department of Homeland Security and Department of State?
Political:  What are the current strategies in place for temporary and permanent cap relief?
Practical:  Filing strategies for your company to beat the cap.  Pitfalls and problems, solutions, and work arounds.
Practical:  Compliance and Enforcement issues and solutions.
Survival:  Strategic Planning on labor and staffing, the big picture.


There will be an opportunity at the end of the seminar for questions and answers.
